Dr. Austin DeGroff is a dedicated and highly trained optometrist who brings advanced expertise in medical eye care to every patient interaction. A graduate cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, Dr. DeGroff was recognized with the Student Award for Excellence in Advanced Practice for his outstanding clinical performance and commitment to patient care. While at Ohio State, Dr. DeGroff was part of a team conducting research at the Havener Eye Institute and has published in Ophthalmology Science, the journal of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, where his work examined optical changes in the cornea following cross-linking treatment.
He completed a well-regarded New England College of Optometry residency in Ocular Disease at the nationally top-ranked White River Junction VA Medical Center in Vermont, where he focused on the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, retinal conditions, and neuro-ophthalmic disorders in concert with subspecialty ophthalmology.
Dr. DeGroff is passionate about blending evidence-based care with cutting-edge diagnostics to protect and preserve vision. His current clinical interests include glaucoma management, corneal disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and neuro-ophthalmic conditions, as well as co-management of complex surgical cases and clinical research.
