Madeline Brillhart, OD is a consultative optometrist with special interest in glaucoma and corneal disease. She received both her undergraduate and optometric degree from The Ohio State University with honors. She completed externships at clinics in Arizona, Georgia, and Ohio, with training in primary care, low vision rehabilitation, ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and binocular vision.
Following her education, Dr. Brillhart completed a 13-month residency at the highly competitive Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, Kentucky, a referral-based clinic with intensive training in corneal disease, glaucoma, retina disease, peri-operative management, and emergency eye care.
In August of 2023, after the conclusion of her residency, Dr. Brillhart pursued her passion for ocular disease and joined Wilmington Eye as a consultative optometrist for glaucoma and corneal disease.
Many of us never anticipate having difficulties with vision until it happens. There is nothing more fulfilling than educating and helping people achieve and maintain functional vision and independence throughout their lives.
In her free time, Dr. Brillhart enjoys exploring Wilmington and the surrounding area. Her hobbies include rock climbing, cycling, and hiking.
