Advancing the Future of Eye Care Through Clinical Research

Our Commitment to Ophthalmology Research

Clinical research is essential to advancing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of eye disease. Through our clinical trial program, we are committed to furthering innovation in ophthalmology while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and scientific rigor.

Our studies are designed to explore new therapies, refine existing treatments, and generate meaningful data that can help improve patient outcomes. By partnering with patients, physicians, and research professionals, we aim to bring forward solutions that address unmet needs in eye care.

Meet the Clinical Trials Team

At the heart of our clinical research efforts is Dr. Clark Springs, principal investigator and corneal specialist. Dr. Springs has participated in many clinical trials throughout his career and because of this, he has been able to offer patients new and cutting edge solutions that are not yet widely available in other clinics.

Another key member of our clinical trials team is sub-investigator, Dr. Erin Fuchs. Dr. Fuchs is a skilled optometrist specializing in advanced dry eye treatments and helping patients manage ocular disease.

All clinical trials conducted through Wilmington Eye are supported by our experienced staff and technicians, including Clinical Research Coordinator, Crystal Wong.
