Patient Services Manager

Alana Rini is the Patient Services Manager at Wilmington Eye managing patient intake, the call center, and scheduling, billing, and medical records for our six locations.

Alana was born in TN but has also lived in GA, TX, OH, PA, and SC. After graduating from high school in Pittsburgh, she attended University of South Carolina where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public health. “Go Gamecocks!” During her senior year, she worked part-time for an eye doctor and never looked back. Pun intended.

In 2011 she started her career at Wilmington Eye as a technician for Dr. Pickens in our Southport office. During this time, she took it upon herself to learn the ins and outs of how to successfully run a busy, growing clinic. When the opportunity to apply for her current role presented itself in 2014, she went for it! At that time there were 8 doctors and there are now 21! While the growth of Wilmington Eye over the last 7 years has been substantial, providing excellent service to our patients has remained Alana’s top priority.

She is married to her right-brained husband, Brandon, and is ‘Mom’ to Anthony and Aubrey. In her free time, she is the speaker toting DJ at her son’s baseball games, shops for everything online and secretly wishes she knew every Tik-Tok dance.
