Wilmington Eye’s first PA expands patient access to vision-saving oculoplastic treatments and procedures
Tracey McKinzie, PA-C is a proud Wilmingtonian, born and raised right here in Wilmington. After graduating from John T Hoggard High School, Tracey went to Wake Forest University where she majored in Health and Exercise Science, then began preparing for PA school. Tracey went to ECU PA and was able to return to Wilmington for all of her clinical rotations.
Upon the successful completion of PA school, Tracey began her medical career in 2012 in family medicine and worked for 4 years at a local med spa before entering oculoplastic care in October of 2017. Tracey has always had a passion for procedure-based medicine because of the ability to provide immediate gratification to patients.
Tracey is a member of several distinguished organizations and is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She has also participated in many seminars and educational events with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and most recently attended the Aesthetic Extender Symposium.
Having worn glasses and contacts since middle school I know we all want to see, look and feel our best.
In her free time, Tracey likes to read, binge on reality TV, and spend time with family and friends. Tracey also volunteers with Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love based out of Charlotte and has “foster failed” with a Great Dane and a Great Dane/Boxer mix.
